Your goals deserve a great team
You’ve spent 12 years following their plan for you. Now you can create a plan of your own. Good advising in college is the critical support that helps you map out your college experience and try new things.
At Connecticut College, your academic adviser is part of a team that starts working with you as soon as you arrive on campus. Your academic adviser is the same professor who teaches your first-year seminar class, so your conversations can cover everything from yesterday’s reading assignment to your ambitions for yourself and for the world.
You’ll also have a career adviser who will help you shape your interests into professional possibilities, a staff adviser who can connect you with any campus resources you need, and a student adviser who can provide a peer’s perspective.
Questions?
Planning an academic career can be challenging, so we've put together a list of answers to some of the most common student questions on coursework, course credits, foreign language requirements, grades, personal leave, study away and taking exams. More in-depth explanations can also be found in the College catalog.
If you still have questions, you can always contact your academic adviser or the deans and associate deans within the Office of the Dean of the College—they are happy to help.
