As a component of the World Languages and Cultures (WLC) requirement, students who achieve advanced-level proficiency in a language and who apply their language in an international or other practical context may have this noted on their academic transcript. To apply to receive the designation of “Language Engagement Scholar” on their transcripts, students should submit a completed application form by May 1 of the senior year to the chair of the appropriate language department.
