Students interested in incorporating study away into their Connecticut College experience should not be deterred by financial constraints. There are many funding opportunities that can help defray the cost of semester long study away programs. The Global Scholars Fund, administered through the Walter Commons for Global Study and Engagement offers small grants to assist with the costs of travel related expenses and loss of work study. Applications are coordinated with the Study Away deadlines. Students should note, however, that in order to be eligible for funds, they must demonstrate that they have applied for external funding. For questions about the Global Scholars Fund contact global@conncoll.edu.
Many of our affiliated study-away programs, as well as external sources, offer scholarship opportunities. In the past, Connecticut College students have been successful in receiving various awards. Students need to plan early, as application deadlines vary and it is the student’s responsibility to notify the College’s Financial Aid Services office to see if any scholarships will affect their current financial aid.
