The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to supplying students with the necessary tools to ease the admission process for law school applicants. LSAC is currently comprised of 222 law schools in the United States, Canada, and Australia. All schools approved by the American Bar Association are LSAC members.
LSAC not only assists students with the application process, but also aides in the transfer of application materials to each institution. The streamline transfer is completed through the Credential Assembly Service (CAS), which is a part of the LSAC site.
Students must send all of their transcripts, letters of recommendation and evaluations to LSAC. In addition to creating a seamless transfer of documents from one school to the next, LSAC is also responsible for administering the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
Students are encouraged to explore LSAC services by creating an account. This will give access to test preparation materials, LSAT registration, and LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service. Applicants should become comfortable with the LSAC site.
