Self-Study Process

Planning for our 2017-18 self-study began early in the fall 2016 semester with planning work by President Katherine Bergeron, then-Dean of the Faculty Abby Van Slyck (our NEASC accreditation liaison officer), Associate Professor of English Jeff Strabone, and Director of Institutional Research and Planning John Nugent. A steering committee comprised of senior administrators and campus leaders was appointed, and each member of the committee chaired a subcommittee aligned with one of the standards. Subcommittee members were administrators, faculty, staff, and students with expertise in the subject areas of the standards, and they worked over the course of the spring 2017 semester to familiarize themselves with their standard and to develop the descriptions, appraisals, and projections presented in the self-study and to assemble the documents and materials that form the evidentiary basis for the report.
