Conn admits an exceptionally talented Class of 2023
Connecticut College has admitted an exceptional group of students to the Class of 2023, selected from the largest—and one of the most diverse—applicant pools in College history.
“It was a true pleasure to read this year's applications because the students who applied to Conn are remarkable,” says Andrew K. Strickler, the dean of admission and financial aid. “They are high-achievers from diverse backgrounds with great stories to tell, and we're gratified that they're interested in the education we offer.”
The admitted Class of 2023 includes students from 70 countries and 47 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Although Conn is test-optional, standardized test scores that were submitted are indicative of the academic prowess our admitted students demonstrate. Median SAT scores are up over last year by 10 points in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 10 points in Math.
“Conn's academic reputation has always been strong, and our Connections curriculum has made it stronger,” says Strickler. “Students interested in pursuing an intentional educational path are finding their way here in greater numbers than ever before.”
The admitted Class of 2023 is actively engaging with the College through a new webpage that is customized for them. In addition to featuring the smooth dance moves of the College's beloved Camel mascot, the page hosts tips from current students, information about upcoming programs and interesting facts about the class.
The Class of 2023 is invited to meet the Camel, tour the campus, sit in on classes and more at Camel Days, open houses for admitted students, on April 15 and 22.
